We are looking for a Security Officer to join our team and ensure the safety of our premises, personnel, and assets.
For the majority of the event schedule, event security guards monitor the people at the event to ensure rules are followed and everyone is acting safely.
They provide a sense of protection to attendees and staff.
They will also be required to maintain records of security incidents and provide reports to the management team.
The ideal candidate will have excellent observational skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons.
Write reports of irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50lbs and ensure all guests have valid IDs, secure/safe personal belongs/bags, etc.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
