Join our Human Resources team as our Talent Acquisition Consultant.
This role is a key partner to help us attract and hire a strong, diverse team and will also partner with hiring managers and leadership to build a strong pipeline of candidates, and build our brand in community.
This position has an integral role in shaping our candidate experience and helping us build a diverse and inclusive team.
We are looking for someone who can think innovatively to solve problems and deliver exceptional recruiting services effectively and efficiently.
Work Schedule:
Hybrid, Full-Time, 40 hours / week.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Identify diverse passive and active applicants, by using various methods including, but not limited to professional associations, sourcing platforms, conferences, community events, social media, workforce development organizations and networking techniques.
Implement a strategic recruitment plan to support various departments to include, creating strategies to identify and attract diverse talent.
Partner with the hiring managers to create a recruiting strategy for each opening, discussing potential internal candidates, opportunities to diversify the candidate pool, and critical skills needed for the role.
Help leaders expand their diversity networks and accountability for sourcing.
Advocate for candidates and coach leaders through the selection process.
Collaborate across departments to lead recruiting initiatives on projects in alignment with goals of Second Harvest's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategy.
Actively seek out continued partnership opportunities to target a diverse demographic of populations including Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), Latinx/Hispanic, Asian and LGBTQ
communities.
Develop and create a great employee and candidate experience as a part of the SHH recruiting and onboarding experience for new employees, including utilizing and maximizing technology to lead new innovations.
Partner with the Human Resources (HR) Director and lead the design and administration of the overall recruitment strategy, focusing on automation, innovation, and a human centered approach.
Leverage data to define success metrics, in order to track the effectiveness of initiatives over time and inform strategic decisions in regard to recruiting strategy.
Inform SHH Inclusion Council to recommend recruitment strategies and act as advisor and SME to DEI recruitment initiatives on behalf of the Council.
Ensure compliance with AAP process and goals.
Identify proactive action that can be taken to improve our results.
Provides work direction and support development to Talent Acquisition Coordinator.
Additional duties as assigned.
Must Have:
Associate of Arts (AAS) or Bachelor's Degree (BA) or equivalent educational experience.
Demonstrated related experience can be substituted for a college degree.
Demonstrated experience in HR, Recruiting, Talent Acquisition, Staffing Agency or related field.
Proven ability to utilize business technology, including computer hardware and software.
Proven efficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, HRIS and ATS systems required, ADP preferred.
Demonstrated experience in executing diversity talent acquisition strategies required.
Knowledge of Federal, State and Local employment laws.
Deep understanding of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) strategy and initiatives.
Nice to Have:
SHRM and/or HRCI certifications valued, but not required.
Bilingual in other languages highly desired, (Spanish, Somali, Hmong).

Starting Pay Range:
$70,000 - $80,000 USD annually or more / Dependent on Qualifications and Experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
