Summary:
A Die Cutter Operator is responsible for programming and setting up the die cutter with correct die/plate and stripping and blanking units, operating the machine, performing routine maintenance on the machine, and troubleshooting any issues.
The die cutter operator will also perform quality checks to ensure the customer specifications are being met.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Programs/set-up, operate, troubleshoot and maintain automated equipment Read and follow job tickets and specifications Performs quality checks; observes and monitors machine operations to detect malfunctions and to determine if adjustments are needed Fine tunes and performs adjustments to ensure top quality and customers specifications are being met.
Completes production paperwork, including job time tracking and quantity produced.
Communicates efficiently and effectively with Production Supervisor Coordinates efforts as part of a team to provide assistance to all co-workers as needed to maximize production efficiencies Adheres to all safety rules, regulations and company policies Keeps work area neat and clean Other duties as assigned High school Diploma or equivalent 3- 5 years' experience in the printing industry and operating a die cutter Basic arithmetic ability:
including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division Reliable, dependable and punctual Strong communication skills - Ability to follow written and verbal instruction Sufficient computer skills to adjust machine according to product Ability to remain in a stationary position and move about on a concrete floor for 100% of shift Ability to push, lift and pull up to 75 lbs.
