Quality Inspector Main Duties/
Responsibilities:
Inspect and Test Parts:
Conduct thorough inspections and testing of both purchased and internally manufactured parts.
Ensure compliance with pre-established specifications and quality standards.
Measurement Techniques:
Utilize strong knowledge and experience with small tool mechanical measurements, CMM measurements, surface plate measurements, optical comparator testing, sampling methods, and statistical techniques.
Blueprints and Instructions:
Work effectively from blueprints, inspection specifications, and written/verbal instructions.
Precision Instruments:
Proficiently use precision measuring instruments and establish standard inspection set-ups.
Technical Skills:
Demonstrate intermediate PC skills, including previous experience with ERP software.
Quality Inspector Key Requirements/
Qualifications:
Qualification and Training:
Possess a high school education or equivalent.
Have at least 2 years of relevant technical training, including knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and proficiency in shop math through trigonometry.
Experience:
Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of related mechanical inspection and testing experience in a close tolerance manufacturing environment.
Apply experience with close tolerances and precise measurements Preference for candidates with CMM programming experience.
